Marine LiFePO4 Battery Guide
Use ZM12100 planning for marine house systems, fish finders, communications, lights and selected 12V electronics.
House Loads and Starting Loads
Separate house loads from engine-starting requirements. The ZM12100 is positioned as a deep-cycle battery for compatible 12V systems, not an engine-starting battery.
Marine Installation Priorities
- Protect terminals, cables and fuses from accidental short circuits, moisture and corrosion.
- Use cable gauge and fuse protection for the actual electronics and motor current.
- Use a compatible LiFePO4 charger and observe the 0°C to 50°C charging range.
- IP65 Tested reflects IP6X dust and IPX5 water-jet test results; it is not an immersion rating.
Electronics Runtime
Estimate runtime from 1280Wh × system efficiency ÷ device watts, then reserve energy for startup behavior, duty cycle, temperature and navigation conditions.
